McMaster research group for stable isotopologues (MRSI) is equipped with an analytical facility for stable isotope and trace elemental studies. Two stable isotope ratio mass spectrometers (IRMS) and an inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometer (ICP-MS) are currently housed in GSB-402.  GSB-401 is dedicated to off-line samples preparations and other wet chemistry activities.  In addition, GSB-B120 is used for sample preparation, mineral synthesis, and storage.

MRSI is focused on the study of low temperature and environmental processes, as well as analyses of materials from archaeological sites.
